SALLIE GIORDANO

Partner and Principal Designer

Having grown up in a world of fabric and design, it was an easy transition for Sallie Giordano to switch gears from journalism to interiors in 1993, eventually taking the helm of the New York office, from where she oversees projects throughout the Northeast.

Ingrained with a respect for architecture and how it informs interiors, she works according to the firm’s philosophy that the layout and structure of a home are even more important than its fabrics and furniture. When the bones haven’t been built yet, or need resetting, Sallie provides the vision that dictates the entire project, from architectural drawings through construction to final furnishing and even art selection.

Like her mother, she is comfortable working in both traditional and contemporary genres and works to ensure that each home she creates is unlike any other. The only constant is quality. Good interior design, she believes, should come from an irreproducible confluence of location, history, client sensibility and inspiration.
